"Lille Neurodegeneration" is an international team developing projects on neurodegenerative diseases—ranging from neurogenetics and cellular and animal models to biomedical applications—with a particular interest in tauopathies as well as other neurodegenerative diseases.

Researchers in the "Lille Neurodegeneration" team investigate the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying neurodegenerative diseases, with the ultimate goal of developing new treatments. To this end, team members employ state-of-the-art techniques and collaborate closely with clinicians to advance the development of new biomarkers and therapeutic trials. The team also engages in "reverse translational" projects, addressing questions raised by clinician-researchers through the experimental methodologies developed in the laboratory.
