Martha

On Tuesday, January 14, 2025, we had the pleasure of inaugurating the MARTHA project at the Espace Culture of the University of Lille. This project was created by Sarah Feuillas as part of her Airlab residency (University of Lille) within the Lille Neuroscience & Cognition research center (U1172, Univ. Lille, Inserm, CHU de Lille).

The exhibition opening was preceded by an inaugural conference on the links between memory, emotion, and post-traumatic stress disorder, followed by a presentation of the project. Watch the video

This project, blending art and science, explores the transformation of emotions in post-traumatic trajectories. Based on interviews with individuals affected by psychotrauma, Sarah Feuillas created sculptures embodying objects that serve as witnesses to these individuals' trauma. We also analyzed the emotions associated with these objects using the tools developed within our research team, particularly within the CALYPSO project.

The MARTHA exhibition remains open until February 28, 2025, at the Espace Culture, Campus Cité Scientifique, Villeneuve d’Ascq.
Opening hours: Monday to Thursday, 9 AM to 6 PM, and Friday, 9 AM to 12 PM.

Memory Week

Our team participated in the Memory Week 2023, the national reference event on memory organized by the B2V Memories Observatory. This entirely free event, dedicated to exploring memory in all its forms, was held this year at the University of Lille, at the Lilliad Learning Center Innovation. Watch our interventions here:
