A trophy which rewards a world first in the field of Parkinson's disease.

The team of Professor David Devos receives the Etoile Nordiste trophy in the “Science and Research” category, for the development of a small internal pump which directly injects dopamine into the brain, thus limiting the serious side effects of conventional medications for the treatment of Parkinson's.

Portrait of a researcher: Caroline Moreau, winner of the 2022 Marie-Paule Burrus Prize

Professor Caroline Moreau is a neurologist at Lille University Hospital. She conducts research on Parkinson's disease and Parkinson's syndromes at the Lille Neuroscience & Cognition Research Center.

Prof. David Devos receives the Stars of Europe trophy for the European project FAIRPARK-II

Professor David Devos, neurologist, Professor of Medical Pharmacology and researcher at the “Lille Neuroscience and Cognition” laboratory of the University of Lille, Lille University Hospital and Inserm, received the Stars of Europe trophy for his work aimed at identifying new therapeutic avenues in order to slow the progression of Parkinson's disease (PD) (European projectFAIRPARK-II).
This trophy created by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, recognizes French teams who have chosen to develop projects on a European scale.
